Residential building in Latakia-Syria

The Residential Building is located in American street Lattakia/Syria – Designed by Ark-kassam Architects.

The main design features were inspired from its context. Integration with its surroundings is a design key with a palpable modern feel that makes this building a unique contemporary add on to its surroundings.

Colours, construction and balconies were stimulated from the surrounding buildings in the area which date back to the sixties.
This building consists of 7 residential floors leaving its ground floor for commercial purposes.

One of the challenges in the design was to create functioning spaces in such a narrow block due to the limited depth of the property area. Creating a functional distribution that commensurates with the land form.
